Yama is the one of the projects which began as a way to study the Diorama Map series from a new point of view. For this work, I climbed a certain mountain(2-3 times in a month) through one year. Then I shot various trees and plants from fixed points inside of the mountain to see the subdivided flow of time to create one piece of collage as a symbolized Mountain. This work has originated from the time when I felt the difference of my recognition of mountain when I observe the mountain from a distance and from inside of it. Also, through the act of approaching to the mountain for certain amount of time, I'm trying to see how the mountain is composed as life which continuously living and also as an object .

「山」という作品はDiorama Mapシリーズを新たな視点から考察するために始めたプロジェクトの一つです。あるひとつの山を一年間（月2回～3回）かけて登り、そこに生息する様々な木々、植物の色彩を山の内側から定点的に撮影し、細分化された時間の流れを、一枚にコラージュされた象徴的な「山」として表現しています。 これは、ある山を遠方から観察した時と、山の内部から観察した時の認識の差異を感じたことから始まり、ある一定の期間をかけて山に向かう行為を通して、脈々と生き続ける生命としての「山」、そして物体としての「山」がどのように変化し、構成されているかを見ようとする試みです。
